Our True Connection to Nature and the Universe

The Moon and Your Emotions

Among other things, the moon affects the tides and the harvest. It also affects our emotions. Psychologist Carl Jung used to say that, because the moon affects Nature’s cycles like the ebb and flow of the ocean and growing seasons, then it was logical that man, also a part of Nature and with a body composed 70% of water, would also be affected by the phases of this cosmic body. We are, after all, all connected.
Of all the lunar phases, the New Moon and Full Moon are the most talked about. The new moon is said to bring the energy of beginnings. It is felt as a time to start new projects, to set ideas in motion. You may perceive a new moon as an opportunity to start over, and it is usually a great time to do so in any area of your life. Cleansing (your body, your closet, your social environment) is often started successfully during or shortly after a new moon.
While the new moon is mostly an external or outwardly conscious experience, the full moon is more of an internal, deeply emotional one. Full moons, like the one last night, are said to bring to fruition what we planed during a new moon. Interestingly, hospitals know to be ready for more women being rushed to labor during a full moon – a baby being the ultimate creation previously set in motion by the parents. Full moons bring results, closure and insight to situations or projects started during a new moon period, but they are more emotional and internal in nature, with an inside growth or change being the most important component to take into account.
While news and enlightening information may come to you during a full moon period, it is recommended to wait 4-5 days to process the information received and let it unfold before making any decisions based on it.
Scientist challenge: Next time there is a new or full moon, take note of your emotional state and the state of any new or pending personal or business matters. Observe the correlations and see how in tune you are with the cycles of Nature. Then use this information to further your self-understanding and be ready for the next phases of your life.

To breathe, to feel, and to be my Truest Spirit at all times is my happiness

Beautiful Gisele

A Place Where I Find So Much Peace and Serenity

Moss Cove in Laguna Beach, CA is one of my most serene places to visit and just sit.  This past weekend I went to Moss Cove with my special man.  We were the only two on at the cove besides one other person laying out on the sand. It was so serene and quiet.  It really is a spiritual place for me. For some reason, I feel one with the waves when I sit on the rocks in this cove.  Truly a tranquil and beautiful space. I could just sit there all day long and take in nature's beauty.

How Beautiful

We Are Spirits Living As Human Beings on This Earth

I love the following quote: "When we understand and accept that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, not human beings trying to become spiritual, our life's meaning changes."
New Earth Energies Enhance
Our life on this planet is about learning. Every situation in our life is an experience we asked to receive. Our beliefs, past thoughts, feelings, and experiences create a continuous and restrictive life pattern that manifests into our daily life. Releasing the old restrictive patterns by replenishing old energy with new vibrant energy in our system enhances our daily life and allows us to more easily receive clarification and direction towards manifesting our desired goals and dream life.

Our physical form is the most phenomenal miracle for all us on this planet. We take our physical life on this planet for granted and not fully appreciate our physical form or the beautiful planet Earth that is hosting us while we are here.

When we understand and accept that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, not human beings trying to become spiritual, our life's meaning changes. As spiritual beings we come from a realm of pure love and abundance of all (prosperity, joy, peace, freedom), with a co-creative power to instantly manifest whatever we desire. Our human life allows us to experience lessons at a practical level with feelings and emotions. Every incident in our life is an experience that our Higher Spirit Self (Soul) wants us to feel with knowingness.

The planet Earth is the practical lab for us to experience everything we have learnt in the Spirit realm. This planet's matrix is made up of polarity, which requires experiencing opposite sides of each lesson. So, when we receive large sums of money (winning the lottery, or gains from stocks or business) we feel immense joy, love, gratitude and acceptance. To complete the lesson the opposite also has to be experienced. At some point a large financial loss occurs. The experience is the feeling we go through when this occurs. The normal feeling during a financial loss is depression, anxiety, stress and other strong negative feelings. We end up victimizing others and ourselves. These negative feelings develop into a deeper hole, which ends up worsening our situation. The objective is to graduate from the lesson and move on to the next lesson. To graduate from the lesson we must feel joy, love, gratitude and acceptance in both experiences. To graduate from this specific lesson we must accept the lesson of financial loss, have gratitude and joy with love that we have experienced it. Upon full acceptance the loss will be short lived and we move on to the next lesson our Higher Self wants us to experience.

While we are experiencing our life's lessons on this planet, we need to understand that this life we are living is actually a drama for our Higher Self. We are the personality self and the main character in our play. All family members, friends and associates are part of our drama playing (friendly and unfriendly) roles to help us with our lessons. Graduation from each lesson is through love, compassion, gratitude and acceptance (no matter how severe the pain). Forgiveness comes through love and compassion. Being aware that each experience is part of our growth and that each lesson requires love compassion, gratitude and acceptance to complete, will help us flow through life much more easily with a better attitude.

All aspects of our life are experiences we have asked to experience for our growth. We have free will and choice at all times. Everything we go through in the physical life is through our own creation and doing. Every thought and feeling is registered. Our life path is structured by our beliefs, thoughts, feelings and past patterns engrained in our system.

We are able to change our life paths by changing our beliefs, thoughts, feelings and past patterns engrained in our system. We can change our thoughts and feelings to focus on more positive aspects. But how do we release our past restrictive patterns engrained in our system? First, we have to understand that our life cycle is not linear. It is actually a circular flow of past, present and future. All past thoughts, experiences, and beliefs manifest our present situations. Our present situation is through our past reflection; this is carried and manifested into the future. This cycle is continuous throughout our whole life. The dream future we would like to manifest for ourselves is easier to attain once restricted past engrained patterns are fully released and removed.

How can we change our old restricted thought patterns, so that we can manifest our goals and desires faster?

To change our present for a better future, we need to first release all past thought patterns and repressed emotions from our cellular memory. Clearing the negative energy blockages from our system helps us to fully open up to receive new vibrant energy, which replenishes and regenerates old tissues, and fully cleanses and heals our physical, mental and emotional system from all past victimizations, ill feelings, guilt, and anger for ourselves and others.

What is low and high vibration energy and how does this affect our life?

We all enter the planet at a high vibration. Everyone's vibration level is different. A person's vibration level is determined by their level of awareness and consciousness. We all come from the Universal Truth. As we enter the planet our belief is of the Universal Truth (sphere). Upon entering the planet to childhood our parents, teachers, expanded family and social circle's belief system is engrained into us. Our Universal Truth belief is forgotten and our Earthly belief (our self created restricted square box) becomes our Truth. Our life becomes structured and engrained to our beliefs (square box). The more we stay in our square box, the more we restrict our growth and full potential.

When we enter this planet we come in at a high spirit frequency (we can use the analogy of FM (spirit) frequency vs. AM (earth) frequency). As we enter the planet the spirit (FM) frequency drops but we still stay tuned into this frequency. As our belief system changes from the Universal Truth to the Earthly beliefs, our frequency shifts to the Earth (AM) frequency. Our level of vibration drops (becomes more dense) the deeper we sink in the Earthly beliefs and fall from the pure state of compassion and love. The more we victimize, have ill feelings, thoughts, criticisms and judgments about ourselves and others the more dense our vibrations become. Repressed emotions, stress, anxiety, depression all create energy blockages. These energy blockages also make our vibrations denser. The denser our vibrations become the less power (will) we have to direct our life the way we would like to. Our co-creative abilities to manifest our ultimate desires are at their minimum.

Raising our vibration level back to the spirit frequency maximizes our power (will) and abilities to manifest with our own co-creative life force. We are able to return to a life style similar to being in the 5th dimensional plane (where we have ultimate, freedom, joy, love, peace and prosperity) by raising our vibrations to the higher vibrational frequency. Earth has been in the 3rd dimensional plane. Beings in this 3rd dimensional plane live to survive. All daily tasks fulfill survival needs. Since 1987 Earth began a shift towards uplifting itself to the 5th dimensional vibration-frequency. This is the vibration-frequency of creative life force activation. All beings that are able to uplift themselves (through clearing their negative energies) to the 5th dimensional space are able to co-create their dream world and life purpose faster with the planet's higher vibrational energies. Planet Earth's vibration-frequency as of 2005 was estimated to be three quarters into the 4th dimensional plane. It is estimated that over 50% of the beings on Earth are still in 3rd dimension, 45% are in 4th dimension and 5% are in the 5th Dimension vibration.

Revitalize Your Life: I'm Inspired By this Article

20 Ways to Revitalize Your Life
In various traditions, energy is called qi. Prana. Life force. Spirit. Pure energy is the essence of who you are. Although there are as many ways to replenish your energy as there are ways to spend it, we've pulled together our best suggestions to benefit body, mind, and spirit, inspired by a range of traditions and disciplines. Try working one or more into your daily routine. Think of it not as first-aid for the weary but as a holistic strategy for creating long-term balance and vitality in your life.
Body Energy
1. Take a Contrast Shower
Hot-cold hydrotherapy, practiced by the Finns for the past 2,000 years, is believed to strengthen immunity, increase circulation, and have a stimulating effect on the body. Although the ancient ritual did not involve a shower -- or modern plumbing for that matter -- you probably don't have immediate access to a sauna and a snowbank, so this will do. After showering, turn the knob to as cold as you can stand it for 30 seconds, switch back to warm, and end on cold. Get your nape, back, and chest. Repeat two or three times.
2. Don't Brew, Squeeze
Start the day with a glass of hot water, the juice of one-quarter to one-half a lemon, and a pinch of cayenne pepper (and a little honey if you want). Why is this a detox staple? Theoretically, says Cathy Wong, N.D., this can increase fat burning and thus the release of fat-soluble toxins from fat cells. Translation: It gets things moving.
3. Pummel Yourself
Borrow this gentle, invigorating exercise from the energy -- cultivating practice of qigong. Gently "drum" the insides and outsides of your arms and down your sides and legs with a loosely closed fist; then drum up the insides of your legs, your abdomen and solar plexus, neck, and lower back. This thumping can stimulate the flow of qi and increase circulation -- plus, it feels really good.
4. Eat Early and Often
If you skip breakfast and scarf a meager lunch, you may hit a wall by mid-afternoon. By the time you get home, you're ravenous, and at that point your body will not be able to "make up" the nutrients it lost all day. Eat a breakfast of complex carbs, protein, and a little fat, and several light but nutritious mini-meals throughout the day.
5. Stretch
Taking a moment to stretch each hour or so throughout the day goes a long way toward preventing stiffness, increasing blood circulation, and giving you a shot of energy. Try this right now: Stand up and, taking a deep breath, raise your arms and reach for the sky; hold. Then release the stretch, exhaling and dropping your arms. Beginning with the crown of your head, roll down, vertebrae by vertebrae, until you're hanging forward. Let your arms dangle. Shake and nod your head gently to loosen the neck. Without locking your knees, feel the stretch in the back of your thighs. Enjoy this stretch for a few moments.
6. Make Your Heart Pound
There's a reason you feel so good after exercising. Engaging in vigorous, sweaty exercise for as little as 10 to 30 minutes triggers the release of feel-good chemicals in the brain -- serotonin, adrenaline, and endorphins -- and has been shown to greatly improve mood. Regular exercise has also been shown to do everything from lowering blood pressure to relieving depression -- and no energy regimen would be complete without it. So if you don't exercise regularly, start. And if you already have a steady workout routine, try stepping it up a few days a week by increasing the number of days you do it, or the intensity.
Social Energy
7. Become a Human Sparkler
Don't laugh. Energy isn't a gift -- it's a habit. Try this for a week and see what happens: Become a bright, sparkling source of energy and let it reflect in all that you do. This does not mean "become a big fake" or "act like an insane person," but rather, turn up the volume on what you do best. Set an upbeat pace at the office. Make people laugh. Recognize other people. Do a little more than you have to. Consider it an experiment and watch how others respond to you. Then see how you feel at the end of the week. If you find it unbearable, you can always go back to being grumpy.
8. Find Your Rhythm
One surefire way to free your qi is to pound it out. Skye Alexander, author of "The Care and Feeding of Your Chi," recommends drumming to break down energy blockages, release tension, and improve your mood. Alexander, who participates in a drumming circle twice a week led by a Senegalese shaman and musician, says the group dynamic, paired with the physical act and sound of drumming, makes for a truly holistic and energizing experience.
9. Rediscover Live Theater
Try skipping the movies for a change, and instead treat yourself to a live performance -- whether it's a comedy show, a play, or a band. In a live show, the players and the audience engage one another in an energetic, spontaneous way that just doesn't happen with an edited, pretaped show.
10. Seek Out Energy in Other People
Warning: Not everyone you love functions as an energy support in your life (as if this hadn't already occurred to you). There are a few stars, however, whose enthusiasm is contagious. These people are emotional supplements. Ensure regular doses by building time with them into your busy schedule, and you'll leave your visits feeling more alive and more energized.
Sensual Energy
11. Find the Four Elements
Reset your energetic rhythms by tuning in to nature. Find a place where you can experience all four elements: earth, air, water, and fire (sun). That could mean the ocean, a pond, or a man-made fountain. Let all four elements create a symphony of sensations around you, replenish your energy, and help you return to your flow.
12. Take in Some Art
Art has an energy all its own. Try not to overintellectualize -- rather, absorb it, letting the color, shape, and other sensual aspects of the art stimulate your own creativity. Immerse yourself in -- and don't just observe -- a work of art, and you'll feel your senses awaken.
13. Energize the Olfactory Way
Essential oils can calm, center, and energize you by reducing the effects of stress and mental fatigue. Rosemary, juniper berry, clary sage, and peppermint revive the senses while citrus oils like lemon, orange, or pink grapefruit balance emotions and energize. Add a few drops to a warm bath or diffuser or light a candle that has been scented with essential oils. When selecting aromatherapy products, look for pure essential oils derived from plants, not "fragrances," which may be chemically produced.
14. Try a Flower Essence
Unlike herbal medicine, which causes a biochemical reaction in the body, flower essences, developed by the late Dr. Edward Bach, work solely on a subtle level, restoring balance in our "vibrational" energy and emotional states. Bach recommended walnut for creating a buffer zone against negativity, hornbeam for banishing that Monday morning feeling, and star of Bethlehem or honeysuckle for healing emotional wounds. Flower essences can be taken internally, used as a linen or room mist, or added to the bath for an emotionally energizing experience.
15. Allow Yourself to be More Sexual
Our sexuality is an undeniable part of who we are. True sexuality is how we live our lives: how we carry ourselves, how we connect with others, and what kind of energy we exude -- not simply an event-driven experience. Do something today that makes you comfortably aware of your more sensual side; appreciate your body for what it is, not what you wish it were. Skip the starched shirt and slip into something softer. Try a new scent.
Mind-Spirit Energy
16. Bust Your Rut
Falling into a routine is only steps away from falling into a rut. The former, when performed mindlessly, can lead to the latter. Expose yourself to new things. Try a new restaurant. Listen to music you've never heard before. When you free blocked energy by letting it roam and play a bit, you begin to feel more connected and alive.
17. Pray
It doesn't matter what higher power or particular religion you adhere to. The power of prayer combines meditation with a connection to a larger source. Call it God, nature, the universe -- the point is that praying in its many forms (while chanting, singing, walking, or sitting) not only gives you a few moments of peace but some perspective as well.
18. Manage Your Relationship With Your Television
The real danger with TV is in letting it consume all of your free time. When you aren't selective about what you watch, you end up watching everything. So like the smart shopper who makes a list in advance and sticks to it without lingering in the aisles, check the listings first and figure out what specific programs you want to watch. The more premeditated and limited your TV time and the more mindful your program choices, the better off you'll be.
19. Stop Multitasking
This highly prized corporate virtue may not be helping you "get ahead" at all. "When you're not at least 80 percent present with what you're doing, you are creating more work for yourself because you're not focused," says Nikki de Carteret, author of "Soul Power." Also, when you're not fully engaged in your work, you may not derive as much satisfaction from it. Do one thing at a time and you'll get more done -- with energy to spare.
20. Give Everything You Do a Personal Touch
You don't have to be a gifted artist to live a creative and inspired life. True creativity reflects your uniqueness, something only you can put into the world. Considered the "mother of all energies," creativity is a blend of intuitive imagination, heart, and intellect that arises from your life force, says Judith Orloff, M.D., a Los Angeles-based psychiatrist and author of "Positive Energy." Start simply: Buy a blank card. Give a homemade gift. Cook without a recipe. Redecorate a room in your home.

Chi: Our True Energy; Our True Spirit

I find so much truth in this excerpt I came across recently. I believe I must be connected to my own spiritual energy, my true essence.
These ancient people believed the same natural laws of Yin and Yang governing the universe had to influence human beings. We were not considered a separate entity; we were viewed as a miniature universe subjected to the very same universal laws. If Chi was the creating force of all visible components then they believed it had to be a factor behind our existence as well. Therefore, from Yin and Yang came the Five Elements of the universe.
These Five Elements – Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal give birth to all things in creation, including human beings.
The human body as a miniature universe houses 12 energetic channels or pathways wherein Chi flows. These channels are known as “meridians” which control both our gross and subtle anatomy. Our gross anatomy is the physical form we can see. Our subtle anatomy is the energy body most cannot see. This subtle energetic body represents the whole of which we are – our body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Unlike the veins that our blood flows through, meridian pathways also travel throughout body, but rather than fluid they deal more with energy and states of consciousness. Each meridian is associated with one of the Five Elements and is linked to either a Yin or Yang organ of the physical body. Each organ of the physical body is linked to our thoughts and emotions and reflect our state of consciousness.
It is said Chi applies to the human body in 2 ways; inherit Chi and acquired Chi. Inherit Chi is the energy we receive from our parents at the time of conception. Acquired Chi is the energy accumulated by the quality of life we choose to lead, the food we ingest, and the quality of air that we breathe. It is believed  the major cause of all disease stems from a blockage of Chi circulation. People become ill when either they cannot absorb enough Chi or the circulation in their body becomes blocked. Human beings cannot sustain a high quality of life by food and breathing alone. It is important to have a strong flow of Chi energy, as the most nutritious food would be of no use if our inner constitution were weak. In order to absorb and integrate the external universal energy we must learn to integrate and strengthen the fundamental life force within. Chi healing is an ongoing process of cultivating, strengthening, and balancing the Yin (female) and Yang (male) of our being. Good health is learning to live in balance with the all aspects of our internal world – the body, mind, emotions, and spirit so that we may be in balance and good relationship with all aspects of our external world.

I'm Back! From Beautiful Napa

I had a beautiful trip to Napa over the weekend with an unexpected extra night added to our trip in Sacramento due to horrible weather in California.  I can't believe the one day there is a horrible storm in southern California is the day we are supposed to fly in.  I didn't care though, because I just had the most wonderful trip tasting wine in beautiful wine country, celebrating my parent's 40th wedding anniversary, staying in a beautiful cottage (click here to see where I stayed) in Napa, and doing all of this with my special man!  It was such a beautiful weekend even though it rained.  We stayed dry sipping wine and champagne all weekend long!  We visited beautiful wineries (my favorite wineries were Pride and Mondavi) and took in the beautiful scenery. Although, I missed posting on my blog, I must say I did not miss it enough to not enjoy my time in Napa! I miss you Napa Valley!
